Sources: Giannis gets precautionary MRI on knee

Milwaukee star Giannis Antetokounmpo is getting a precautionary MRI on his left knee, league sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday.

The MVP landed hard on the floor and tweaked the knee in second half of Friday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, but he stayed in the game.

After the fall, he remained on the court for some time while teammates surrounded around the superstar. Antetokounmpo also wore a compression sleeve on the knee after the game and was seen limping in the locker room.

In addition, Antetokounmpo required three stitches to his lip, which had been split open during the 113-103 loss.
