U.S. men’s national team manager Gregg Berhalter is set to add Josh Wolff and Nico Estevez to his coaching staff, sources have confirmed to ESPN FC.

Yahoo! Sports was the first to report the hirings.

A source has added that Crew goalkeeper coach Pat Onstad, who has been filling in as the Columbus assistant GM ever since the departure of Berhalter last December, will not be joining the new U.S. coach’s staff.

Both Wolff and Estevez worked with Berhalter during his time with the Columbus Crew, with Wolff spending the last five years in Columbus and Estevez working with the Crew for the past two seasons as an assistant, and the two years prior to that as the team’s director of methodology.

Wolff, 41, was a recent interviewee for the FC Dallas job, as well as the post with the Crew that ultimately went to Caleb Porter. Wolff was also a recent “guest assistant” with the U.S. when Dave Sarachan was managing the team on a caretaker basis.

As a player, Wolff’s career spanned 15 seasons and was mostly spent in MLS with the Chicago Fire, Kansas City Wizards (now Sporting Kansas City), and D.C. United. Wolff, also spent two seasons in Germany with 1860 Munich. Upon his retirement from the game in 2012 he was an assistant with D.C. United for one season before joining Berhalter and the Crew.

At international level, Wolff made 52 appearances for the U.S., scoring nine goals.

Prior to joining the Crew, Estevez, 38, worked extensively with Spanish club Valencia, including a spell managing the club’s reserve team. He also had a brief stint managing the first team on a caretaker basis in 2013.
